Behavior Policy

Please study the following rules carefully. If any students violate any of them, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. Our classroom is a place of respect and an the rules must be followed in order to create (and maintain) the best learning environment.


  1. No Arabic conversation: This is an English ONLY class! Arabic is not allowed to be used at any time.
  2. No talking (once class has begun): Students must raise their hands to speak in class. They may only speak once they have raised their hands and have been called on by the teacher.
  3. Be on time: Students will be on time and ready for class. Any students NOT in their assigned seats when class begins will be marked late and will have after school detention the following day.
  4. Be Prepared: Students must bring all required materials to class. Failing to do so will result in a loss of participation points.
  5. No Eating or Drinking: Eating is not allowed inside the classroom. If students would like to drink anything other than water, they must ask.
  6. No littering: Students must keep their desk areas clean at ALL TIMES. Failure to do so will result in lunch detention to clean up their mess.
  7. Bathroom Policy: Bathroom breaks are STRICTLY for using the bathroom. Going anywhere else will result in serious consequences.
  8. No Cellphones or Unauthorized Electronic Devices: Cell phones or other unauthorized electronic devices will be confiscated if being used for anything other than class activities.
  9. Late Homeworks: Especially now with the introduction of the online blog, late homeworks will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  10. Absences: A student cannot exceed more than 10 excused or unexcused absences during the semester. On the day of a Quiz or Test: In the case of an excused absence, a serious validated excuse would preferably be performed with the head of year (in coordination with the school doctor in case it is a medical situation.)In the case of an unexcused absence, a zero will be given and no make up will be taken.

  1. Cheating and Plagiarism: Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated. Students cheating during a quiz or exam will receive an automatic zero. Any student claiming credit for work they copied from another student or an outside source will also receive an automatic zero on their assignment.


Please Remember to always RESPECT yourselves, others, and the learning institution. This will allow us to make the most out of every class session.

Students - as I said on the first day, the way this academic year will go is completely up to you! The more behaved you are, the more you'll be rewarded. As long as you follow the rules, we'll have an awesome year :)

All rules above are subject to change as deemed necessary by the teacher to maintain an orderly classroom.

Additional rules may be added at a later date if deemed necessary.
