Week 4 Plan

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and ready to start the week!

This week we will be focusing on the following (not necessarily in the correct order):

  • Reading & Comprehension: Rumpelstiltskin
  • Noting details
  • Grammar: Suffixes
  • Improving Writing: Sequence Words
  • Listening: Video on the 'Elements of a Fairytale' - this will be posted on the blog and each student will have to watch it and take notes on their own, ready for a discussion the following day.
  • Introduction to retelling a story (preparing them for storytelling)
  • Quiz: There will be a quiz on Tuesday. Students will need to study the following:
  1. Myths, Fables, Fairytales and Legends
  2. Kinds of Sentences
  3. Subjects and Predicates
  4. Spelling
  5. Comprehension
  6. Vocabulary: using context
