  1. Intermix: To mix together.
  2. Squinted: Look to something or someone with partly closed eyes.
  3. Clutch: To hold tightly.
  4. Vital: Absolutely necessary, essential.
  5. Compounded: Made up of.
  6. Gigantic: Of very great size.
  7. Stunned: Shocked, astonished. 
  8. Slacking: Decrease or reduce in intensity, quantity or speed.
  9. Surged: A sudden powerful forward or upward movement.
  10. Feverish: Having or showing the symptoms of a fever.
  11. Protesting: Expressing an objection to what someone has said or done.
  12. Wail: Make a prolonged, high-pitched sound.
  13. Stake: A strong wood or metal post with a point at one end.
  14. Press: To apply pressure to or push something.
